Brickendon named amongst preferred suppliers for UK government work

October 2, 2018

Brickendon is using its financial, digital and change management expertise to bid for work in the public sector after being named as a preferred supplier by two of the UK government’s digital platforms.

The global transformational consultancy was awarded the status by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) for G-Cloud 10 and DOS 3. The digital platforms provide central government, local councils, NHS Trusts and other public-sector bodies with a way to purchase computing services, including web hosting and cloud-offerings, from a single, central website. G-Cloud 10 alone is estimated to be worth as much as £600m.

Great opportunity

“This is a great opportunity for Brickendon to extend its exemplary technical and delivery record into new areas,” said Oliver King, business development manager at Brickendon. “We are successfully delivering a range of cloud and technical change programmes for some of the world’s leading banks and are keen to do the same for the UK government.”

Launched six years ago, G-Cloud’s aim was to drive down costs by allowing public sector bodies to purchase standardised services from approved suppliers, rather than having to sign up to a variety of contracts with differing terms and conditions. Since then, more than £3bn of cloud and digital services have been procured by public bodies through G-Cloud, with 48 per cent of that going directly to SMEs.

Significant experience

Brickendon’s highly-skilled and experienced consultants have saved some of the largest global banks hundreds of thousands of pounds with their bespoke technical change programmes. The company’s significant experience in this area puts them in prime position to assist public sector bodies not only to achieve their end goal efficiently and on time, but also, where possible to save costs in the process.
