Senior Front-End Developer (London)

We are looking for a senior front-end developer to join our Digital Practice in London to build products and deliver them to our clients.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Contribute to thought leadership and development best practice within our digital team
  • Lead and forge new client relationships
  • Capture system/product level requirements
  • Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimates and justify the estimate with facts
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Agile software development lifecycle
  • Design and implement new front-end functionalities using the latest technologies
  • Engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding
  • Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation
  • Demonstrate the ability to make informed technology for a specific project
  • Be an expert in assessing application performance and optimising/improving it through design and best coding practices
  • Take responsibility for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast-paced Agile environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
  • Provide guidance to a team of developers

The senior technical lead will possess the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of eight years of professional development experience, with the last three-five years ideally in full stack/front-end development
  • Hands-on experience with web development using HTML5, Java Script, AngularJS and/or Angular 2+, CSS
  • Understanding and experience working in iterative environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate specific technical topics or assignments
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to support new ideas
  • Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed solutions
  • Expertise in breaking down problems and estimating time for development tasks
  • A solid understanding and strong support for Agile software development and modern software development practices (automated testing, continuous integration, relative estimation, specification by example etc.)
  • A passion for developing new products and suggesting ideas
  • Server-side skills are an advantage, but not essential
